Maria Elisa Mancuso: Remembering Professor Giacomo Mancuso Through the AICE Young Investigator Awards

Maria Elisa Mancuso, Professor of Medicine at Frankfurt University Hospital, Medical Specialist at Humanitas Research Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Honoring a legacy, inspiring the next generation.

One of the most personally meaningful moments of the XIX AICE Triennial Congress in Verona was the presentation of the Young Investigator Awards in memory of my father, Professor Giacomo Mancuso.

Remembering him through the recognition of young researchers is particularly special to me.

It is a way of keeping his memory alive while looking towards the future, celebrating scientific curiosity, dedication, and the commitment of a new generation to advancing knowledge and improving the lives of people with bleeding disorders.

Science is built not only on discoveries, but also on the knowledge, values, and passion that are passed from one generation to the next.

Seeing young investigators recognized in his name was a moment of both pride and emotion, and a reminder that the most meaningful legacy is one that continues to inspire others.

My warmest congratulations to the award recipients, and my sincere thanks to AICE/SIEMEC for honoring my father’s memory in such a meaningful way.”
