“Women and girls bleed too!
For years, bleeding disorders have been seen as conditions that affect only boys and men.
But many girls miss school because their periods are too heavy.
Many women are repeatedly treated for anemia without anyone asking why.
Bleeding disorders are not male diseases.
Women and girls bleed too.
So here is the question: When should heavy bleeding stop being called normal?”
