Nathan Wong: Lp(a) Testing as a Class I Recommendation in 2026 Guidelines
Nathan Wong, Professor and Director of the Heart Disease Prevention Program, Division of Cardiology at UC Irvine, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today is Lp(a) Awareness Day and testing it at least once in all adults is now a Class I recommendation from the new 2026 ACC/AHA/Multisociety Dyslipidemia Guideline and there’s a lot we can do to lower risk in those with elevated levels.”

“Learn about the unique role of Lp (a) as a genetic determinant for ASCVD risk and the importance of testing for Lp (a) levels to better understand your patients’ cardiovascular health with ACC’s online course.”
