”A sudden change in speech during a workout was the first sign that Glenn Ruperto was having a stroke.
He and his wife did the right thing by going straight to Advent Health East Orlando, where the team quickly recognized what was happening and acted without delay.
He was moved to CT, given clot-busting medication in record time and later had a successful thrombectomy.
What I love about this story is the reminder that stroke care is a true team effort.
So many people come together behind the scenes to make sure patients get fast, coordinated care when every minute matters.
Glenn’s near-full recovery and emotional reunion with the team are such a powerful example of what can happen when expertise, teamwork and compassion come together.”
