Patrick Taylor: Glow Stack Trend What the Evidence Really Shows
Patrick Taylor, Chief Medical Officer at Belle, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“A brief evidence note on the glow stack trend.
Glutathione appears in nearly every viral glow stack video, typically combined with GHK Cu and NADplus for skin and energy claims.
Glutathione does function as an antioxidant within cells and supports the body’s detoxification pathways, so individual antioxidant support has a plausible basis.
However, combining several compounds does not multiply proven benefit, and no completed human trial supports the specific blended claim being marketed.
A plausible mechanism is not the same as a proven outcome.
For patients considering this category, a 503A compounding pharmacy is the appropriate source given how widely quality and dosing consistency vary among online sellers, and a physician can confirm what is appropriate for an individual case.
Educational content, not personal medical advice.”
