Vicklen Pesiwarissa: Upper Extremity Deep Vein Thrombosis as a Cause of Pulmonary Embolism
Vicklen Pesiwarissa, Medical Doctor at RSUD Scholoo Keyen, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Sharing my poster on Upper Extremity Deep Vein Thrombosis (UEDVT) as a cause of Pulmonary Embolism, which I presented at the Poster Display Competition at the National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kita.
Although less common than lower-limb DVT, UEDVT carries significant morbidity and can lead to life-threatening complications when not recognized early.
This work highlights the importance of timely diagnosis, risk factor identification, and appropriate management to prevent PE.”
