Ruth Gyereh Dogwul: Practising What I Preach to my Students – Give Blood, Save Lives!

“A happy blood donor!

Practising what I preach to my students—GiveBlood SaveLives!

A huge thank you to all the staff and students who voluntarily registered and committed to donating blood during the NHS Blood and Transplant donor testing and registration drive at London South Bank University earlier this February.

I am delighted to share that, from 73 new donor registrations, 72 donation appointments were booked in addition to 4 existing donors Dr Janet Aylott,Johanna Hignett Lou P. Thanks so much

These numbers represent more than appointments, they reflect compassion, social responsibility, and a collective commitment to supporting patients who rely on blood donations every day.

I hope we all honour our donation appointments and become part of a community of donors whose generosity can save and transform lives.

My gratitude to our Course lead, Head and deputy of school, Shpresa Haliti , Dr Darren James, Professor Stewart Kirton and Sarah Swanton for their support in this initiative.

To all the students who already honoured their appointments and those yet to- thank you for saving lives!”
