Sara Zalghout: ISTH 2026 Highlights Progress in Thromboinflammation Research
Sara Zalghout, Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at KU Leuven, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I was very happy today to be involved and give a talk in the Thromboinflammation, Immunothrombosis and DIC SSC session at International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) ISTH 2026!
It was a great start to an inspiring meeting, and I truly enjoyed presenting.
The session featured an excellent scientific program, organized by Dr. Maha Othman and Kim Martinod including insightful discussions on the role of liver in thromboinflammation in sepsis, sepsis associated DIC, role of platelets in acute traumatic coagulopathy by Paul Vulliamy, or platelets in artificial circulation by David Ku!
Looking forward to the rest of the meeting and of course to meeting colleagues from all over the world!”
