Ting Yuan: Understanding the Complexity Behind Repeated IVF Failure

Ting Yuan, Co-Founder and Clinical Director of Zhaoxi Fertility Center Malaysia, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Weekly case study.

Euploid doesn’t always mean success.

This week, we reviewed two interesting cases.

Both patients were around 36-38 years old, with repeated IVF failures despite good embryo quality.

Despite elevated immune-related markers, they achieved successful outcomes without additional Western immune intervention.

At the same time, most similar cases still required combined approaches to achieve success.

What we observed:

  • Different patterns appear to cluster across patients.
  • Some cases show clear improvement in follicular development.
  • But implantation outcomes remain more complex.

One takeaway:

  • It’s not just about embryo quality (‘seed’)
  • It’s about the implantation environment (‘soil’)

And sometimes, it’s about how different systems interact.

Curious how others approach these cases.”
