We Analyzed Data From the Start of the COVID-19 Pandemic to 2024 – What Did We find?

Gregory Piazza, Director of the Vascular Medicine Section at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, shared on LinkedIn:

“So excited to share the publication in JAHA of this long-term project focused on Adjudicated Cardiovascular Events in Patients with COVID-19, the CORONA-VTE Network Study. While many studies have relied upon large dataset analyses and diagnosis codes to understand the impact of COVID-19, we chose to create a large, unique multicenter registry with adjudicated endpoints providing data from the start of the pandemic to 2024. What did we find? The hazard of cardiovascular events has not diminished, contrary to other reports, AND vaccination is associated with reduced risk. So proud of our research team and collaborators across the CORONA-VTE Network.”
