A heart attack isn’t just a health scare — it’s a medical emergency. Immediate action can save a life.
- First Goal: Restore blood flow to the heart as fast as possible.
- In emergency care, doctors use:
- Aspirin – prevents further clotting
- Thrombolytics – dissolve existing clots
- Nitroglycerin – improves heart blood flow
- Pain relievers – ease discomfort during crisis
- In hospitals, life‑saving procedures may include:
- Angioplasty with stent placement – reopens blocked arteries
- Coronary artery bypass surgery – creates an alternate route for blood flow
- Long-term care is just as important:
- Healthy lifestyle changes – exercise, balanced diet, stress management
- Regular medicines – beta‑blockers, statins, blood thinners
- Cardiac rehabilitation – strengthens recovery and lowers future risk
- Remember: The faster the treatment, the better the outcome. Awareness can turn fear into action — and action into life saved.”
