Mohammad E Barbati on ClotTriever System for Postpartum Iliofemoral DVT
Mohammad E Barbati, Director of Venous Surgery and Phlebology at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, shared on LinkedIn:
”Postpartum iliofemoral DVT treated with a fully mechanical strategy using the ClotTriever system: popliteal access, 8 passes, complete thrombus removal, IVUS-guided venous stenting – all without thrombolysis.
This case highlights how contemporary venous interventions can restore flow and relieve symptoms while avoiding additional bleeding risk in vulnerable patient groups such as postpartum patients.”
