Christian Schulze, Professor of Medicine at Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, shared on LinkedIn:

”Microvascular dysfunction is a remaining diagnostic and therapeutic challenge in ACS.

We show that an increased BMI has been associated with microvascular dysfunction after NSTEMI.

BMI above 25.6 kg/m² is an independent predictors of microvascular dysfunction.

Time to say good-bye to the “obesity paradox”?
