”In our recent commentary in RPTH Journal
We discuss emerging evidence linking bleeding assessment tools (ISTH-BAT and Self-BAT) with health-related quality of life in patients with bleeding disorder of unknown cause (BDUC), based on the recent study by Callie Berkowitz et al. on the “Relationships between Bleeding Assessment Tools (ISTH-BAT, Self-BAT) and quality of life in patients with bleeding symptoms”.
The findings support a shift from BATs as purely diagnostic instruments toward measures of disease burden that help identify “who suffers”, and “how much”.”
