George Sands: A Thoughtful Editorial on Low-Dose Rivaroxaban in Advanced CKD
George Sands, Ex-Senior Medical Director of Pfizer, Principal of Sands Collaborative, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Nisha Bansal and Wolfgang C. Winkelmayer, published in JAMA, adding:
“Sharing a very thoughtful editorial by Bansal and Winkelmyer about a trial in CKD patients, stage 4 and 5.
This randomized study is very helpful. This patient population is very challenging to randomize in clinical trials.
This was a placebo-controlled trial vs low-dose rivaroxaban.
The editorial sums it all up beautifully; approximately 5-minute read.”
