”Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia Immune Complexes Activate the Inflammasome Pathway in a Complement-Dependent Manner
This study demonstrates that HIT immune complexes trigger NLRP3 inflammasome activation and IL-1β secretion via FcγRIIA and complement-dependent signaling in both human blood and transgenic mouse models, identifying the inflammasome pathway as a key positive regulator of HIT pathology. ”
