Joffrey Feriel: Improving Harmonization of Blood Cell Differential Counts in Medical Laboratories
Joffrey Feriel, Associate director of medical affairs at STAGO, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The third edition of the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) H20 document ‘Reference Leukocyte Differential Count and Evaluation of Instrumental Methods’ has just been released!
This standard is intended for global use in medical laboratories to improve harmonization of blood cell differential counts and for manufacturers evaluating the performance of new automated hematology analyzers and digital cell image analyzers.
In addition to updating existing elements related to preexamination, examination and postexamination activities, CLSI H20-Ed3 offers an alternative reference method using flow cytometry immunophenotyping.
