Juha Kotimaa։ New Insights into How APAC Shapes Complement Activation and Inflammation
Juha Kotimaa, Senior Research Scientist at VTT, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Blood Vessels, Thrombosis and Hemostasis:
“Happy to share a study long in the making with Seppo Meri, Riitta Lassila, Mikel Rezola Artero and Annukka Jouppila.
We show an intriguing mechanistical insights into how the dual antiplatelet-anticoagulant APAC modulates complement activation on injured cells – by enhancing C3 opsonization while limiting proinflammatory ”
Riitta Lassila, Professor of Coagulation Medicine at University of Helsinki, shared this post, adding:
“Now that the final manuscript is available in bloodVTH.
I am grateful for this collaboration and attention to the impact of coagulation on complement and the regulatory capacity of an antiplatelet and anticoagulant APAC.”
