Rick Kapur: Current Understanding of FNAIT Regarding Diagnostics, Pathophysiology and Management
Rick Kapur, Research Group Leader at Sanquin, Principal Investigator at Amsterdam UMC shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Blood, adding:
“Happy to see this paper out where we highlight our current understanding of Fetal-neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (FNAIT) regarding diagnostics, pathophysiology and management.
New developments support the importance of identifying predictive biomarkers of fetal risk to guide antenatal management and of preventing affected pregnancies ideally by screening all pregnancies followed by prophylaxis.
With James Bussel and Jory Hirshman.
