Sajjad Ullah Mphil: The Impact of Pharmacist-Led Anticoagulation Care in VTE
Sajjad Ullah Mphil, Pharmacist at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, shared on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, adding:
”I am happy to share that our article has been published, offering valuable insights into ‘Pharmacist-led anticoagulation care in cancer: Associations with bleeding and VTE recurrence.’
Cancer patients are at a significantly higher risk of both thrombosis and bleeding, making anticoagulation management particularly complex.
This study was conducted to explore the impact of pharmacist-led anticoagulation care, focusing on its role in optimizing therapy, minimizing bleeding risks, and reducing the recurrence of venous thromboembolism (VTE).
Our findings add to the growing evidence supporting the clinical value of pharmacist involvement in multidisciplinary cancer care.
This landmark reflects dedication, enthusiasm, and strong leadership support.
