Balancing Thrombosis and Bleeding in Acute Leukemia – Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis
Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Shay Perek et al., adding:
“Managing catheter-related thrombosis in patients with acute leukemia presents a unique clinical challenge, especially when thrombocytopenia limits anticoagulation options.
A new study in Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis evaluates a platelet-count-guided low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) strategy for the management of catheter-related thrombosis in a large cohort of patients with newly diagnosed acute leukemia, providing important real-world evidence for balancing thrombosis and bleeding risks.”
