“Advancing Knowledge, Strengthening Transfusion Medicine
Three days of valuable scientific updates, insightful discussions, and professional networking!
I had the pleasure of attending ‘Frontiers in Laboratory Innovation: Advances in Hematology and Transfusion Medicine,’ held from 30 October – 1 November 2026 at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Key highlights for me included:
- Emerging evidence and updates on the use of cold-stored platelets.
- Addressing workforce challenges in Blood Banking and Transfusion Services.
- Advancing Patient Blood Management (PBM) to optimize patient outcomes and promote appropriate transfusion practices.
Beyond the scientific sessions, the conference provided an excellent opportunity to connect with colleagues, exchange experiences, and strengthen professional relationships.
Continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation remain essential to advancing transfusion safety and quality patient care.
