Shaleen Dass: Early Prediction of Blood Transfusion Requirements in Trauma Patients

Shaleen Dass, Junior Clinical Assistant in Department of Infectious Disease at Christian Medical College(CMC), shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine (IJCCM), adding:

“I’m delighted to share that our original research has been published in the Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine (IJCCM).

Our study explored the early prediction of blood transfusion requirements in trauma patients — a clinically important challenge where timely recognition can support faster resuscitation and informed decision-making.

Working on this project strengthened my understanding of clinical research and reinforced my interest in contributing to evidence that can improve patient care.

I am especially grateful to Dr. Joses Dany James for his mentorship, guidance, and encouragement throughout this journey. I would also like to sincerely thank Dr. Anten P. Jonish for his invaluable support and contribution, along with all my co-authors and everyone involved in bringing this work to publication.

Grateful for the learning and looking forward to continuing to grow in clinical medicine and academic research.”
