Yahya Samadi: Luspatercept Shows Promise in Reducing Transfusion Burden in β-Thalassemia
Yahya Samadi, Research Assistant at Khatam-Al-nabieen University, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Annals of Hematology, adding:
“New Publication Alert!
I am delighted to share that our systematic review and meta-analysis, ‘Outcomes with Luspatercept in Patients with β-Thalassemia: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis,’ has been published in Annals of Hematology.
This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of luspatercept in adults with β-thalassemia, demonstrating that it significantly reduces red blood cell transfusion burden while maintaining an acceptable safety profile.
These findings support luspatercept as an effective therapeutic option that may improve patients’ quality of life and reduce complications associated with chronic transfusions.
I am honored to have contributed to this collaborative international research and to serve as the corresponding author on this publication.
I sincerely thank all my co-authors for their dedication and collaboration throughout this project.
I also appreciate everyone who has supported my research journey.”
