Yazan Abou-Ismail: 100 Years of von Willebrand Disease
Yazan Abou-Ismail, Associate Professor of Hematology at the University of Utah, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in RPTH, adding:
“Beyond excited to finally be able to share my illustrated review on von Willebrand Disease published today with RPTH Journal, on the 100th anniversary of VWD.
More than 2 years in the making, this project has been a labor of love, combining my passions for art, medical illustration, and hematology.
I hope the illustrations and practical approaches will be helpful to clinicians, trainees, and all those interested in VWD.
In this comprehensive illustrated review, we cover everything VWD-related.
Thank you to my co-authors Nathan Connell, Peter Kouides, and Paula James for their invaluable insights and contributions throughout this project, and to RPTH for providing this unique, meaningful platform for visual learners.”
