ECDHM 2025: How Do We Promote Sustainability in Donations?
Martinet Constant-Becker, Eventmanager, Communicatiespecialist, Organizer, Projectmanager and Designer at Quatro Organisation and Communications, shared on LinkedIn:
”And then everything falls into place!
As the local organizing committee of ECDHM 2025 – European Conference on Donor Health and Management 2025, you start with dreams and plans:
- How do we create a bubble of knowledge transfer?
- How do we bring in innovative elements?
And how do we promote the theme of Sustainability in Donations as widely as possible?
Together we developed this into a substantively powerful program, in which more than 210 participants from 30+ countries participated.
Katja van den Hurk and Eva-Maria Merz were the driving forces, Su Someh and Lucas Jansen our right and left hand.
Elisabeth Huis in ‘t Veld and her data science students provided an inspiring Hackathon, a moment when participants got a glimpse of the future.
But: sitting for days on end is of course not ‘sustainable’ for our body.
So exercise also got a place in the program. From morning dives and yoga sessions to beach games, all under the enthusiastic guidance of Outstanding Events
Strandhotel Het Hoge Duin addition to a hospitable welcome, he also provided delicious and healthy food and contributed to the desire to use as few disposables as possible.
Moreover, the cooperation with Maike Klijbroek and Nanda Beentjes was really nice!
The atmosphere was complete with the energetic warm-up of Djembe Agogo and the nice setting of Beachclub Sunsea
On the conference days themselves, we Annemieke Habraeken and Claudia van der Pijll – Banning guaranteed a tight organization.
And Marloes Metaal – Froon you were a support in all communication challenges.
And then as an organizer you hope that everything comes together (actually you trust it because everything is prepared down to the last detail).
That content, atmosphere, connection and sustainability reinforce each other.
And that happened
The knowledge bubble led to new insights and valuable connections – colleagues who now know how to find each other worldwide.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed!”
