Alisa Kamalyan Shares Psychosocial Standards of Cancer Care Webinar From SIOP
Alisa Kamalyan, Head of Psychosocial Services at the Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center, reposted International Society of Paediatric Oncology – SIOP’s post on LinkedIn:
“The standards for pediatric psychosocial oncology care were developed in 2015 to establish unified and standardized psychosocial services for children with cancer and their families worldwide. They were created by a group of over 60 clinicians and researchers along with psychologists, social workers, child-life specialists, and patient-family advocates.
The psychosocial community of the AHOPCA region — comprising Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti — adapted these standards for their local context.
During our webinar, Ana Cáceres will present the adaptation process, which will be valuable for other regions as well.
Join our webinar on December 3.”
