With Great Sorrow We Announce the Passing of Prof. Parttaporn Isarangkura: A Pioneer in Hemophilia Care in Thailand and Beyond
Brian O Mahony, CEO of Irish Haemophilia Society, has shared a devastating news announcement about Parttaporn Isarangkura on X:
”It was with deep sadness that I learned today of the passing of Prof. Parttaporn Isarangkura from Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Pat as we referred to her was a very renowned and major figure in the medical and bleeding disorders community in Thailand – WFH.”
It is with great regret that we announce the passing of Professor Parttaporn Isarangkura, a visionary leader who transformed hemophilia care in Thailand—introducing platelet concentrates for dengue fever, cryoprecipitate for hemophilia, and spearheading HIV antigen testing.
As national lead for hemophilia services, she implemented strategic, lasting improvements with grace, determination, and quiet strength.
A mentor across ASEAN and a key figure in the success of the 2004 WFH Global Congress in Thailand, Dr. Pat’s legacy is one of diplomacy, impact, and unwavering dedication.
