Sebastian Szmit To Deliver a Speech at 13th ICTHIC
Sebastian Szmit, Head of Department of Cardio-Oncology, Centrum Medycznego Kształcenia Podyplomowego, shared on LinkedIn:
”Honoured to be invited as a speaker to participate in the 13th International Conference on Thrombosis and Haemostasis Issues in Cancer (ICTHIC), which will be held in Bergamo, Italy!
Program.”
Since its launch in 2001, ICTHIC has served as a key international forum held biennially in the historic city of Bergamo, Italy, bringing together experts, clinicians, nurses, researchers, and patients.
The meeting is widely recognized for its high scientific standards and collaborative environment, fostering discussion on advances, challenges, and future directions in the field.
Although the link between thrombosis and cancer has been known since the 19th century, research in this area has expanded rapidly in recent decades.
Venous thromboembolism remains a common and serious complication in cancer patients, particularly during treatment, and its management is challenging due to the heightened risks of both thrombosis recurrence and bleeding, requiring careful therapeutic balance.
Don’t miss it!
