Annabel Hölzle Takes Runner-Up Award in Basic Science and Translational Research at ESC Heart and Stroke 2025
Annabel Hölzle, Intern at LMU Clinic Munchen, shared on LinkedIn:
”Excited and grateful!
I had the incredible opportunity to present my poster ‘Hypercoagulability, Hyperinflammation and Platelet Dysfunction After Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement at the ESC Heart and Stroke 2025 and EuroThrombosis 2025 conference in Milan.
Being able to share our research with so many inspiring scientists and clinicians was truly motivating.
I’m honored that my work was recognized with the Runner-Up Award in Basic Science and Translational Research, and I’m thrilled to have received a Travel Grant for the 2026 congress in Prague.
A huge thank you to my amazing team – the Antithrombotic Research Group, to my supervisor Christoph B. Olivier and my mentor Dr. David Hesselbarth for their guidance and support.
A big thank you to Marine Campos as well, who was a tremendous help in designing the poster.
Grateful to the Verband der Freunde der Universität Freiburg e.V. for supporting my participation in this year’s congress.
Excited for what’s next!”
