Akshat Jain: Live Bone Marrow Aspiration and Biopsy Procedure Workshop
Akshat Jain, Ambassador of American Society of Hematology and Author of American Society of Hematology News Daily, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Live Bone Marrow Aspiration and Biopsy procedure workshop!
1-3 year medical students, who otherwise get limited clinical exposure to real world medicine, were trained on what it feels to successfully perform this critical procedure as doctors!
This essential clinical skill that lays the basis for us to diagnose blood disorders including leukemia’s, Bone marrow leukemia, etc. and essential to perform gene editing, gene addition and Stem Cell Transplantation, is becoming more and more critical to human medicine.
Trying to keep medicine hands on!
Proud of my students!
Thanks to American Society of Hematology that support the Ambassadors at Loma Linda University.”
