Santagata Davide: How Biological Sex Influences Thrombotic Risk in Patients with Cancer?

Santagata Davide, Resident in Internal Medicine at Università degli studi dell’Insubria, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, adding:

New publication

Yesterday we marked International Women’s Day — but research in gender medicine should not be limited to a single day.

Our new review explores sex differences in cancer-associated thrombosis, highlighting how biological sex influences thrombotic risk, clinical presentation, and treatment outcomes in patients with cancer.

Importantly, we also propose a research agenda calling for sex-stratified analyses and better integration of biological and real-world data to improve risk prediction and advance personalized care in oncology and thrombosis.

Grateful for being part of this publication.

Huge thanks to all the authors and Prof. Roberta Gualtierotti for this collaboration.”
