Calum Robb: A Simplified Flow Cytometry Method for Measuring Human NETs
Calum Robb, Senior Key Account Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored:
“Proud to share our latest publication!
In this study, we developed a robust, flow cytometry–based assay to accurately quantify neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), a key driver of inflammation in diseases ranging from autoimmunity to sepsis and cancer.
By using dual detection of DNA–Histone complexes, our method reliably distinguishes true NETosis from activation, apoptosis & necrosis, addressing a major challenge in the field.
- Sensitive
- Reproducible
- Scalable for routine lab use
We hope this provides a practical tool to advance NETosis research and support translational studies in inflammatory disease.
Massive thanks to all involved!”
