It’s not a fluid.
It’s not a reflex.
It’s not routine.
It is targeted coagulation therapy.
If there’s no active bleeding or significant coagulopathy,
ask yourself – what exactly are you treating?
Because every unit carries risk:
TRALI. TACO. Allergic reactions. Infection.
More plasma ≠ better outcomes.
Correction ≠ clinical benefit.
Transfuse with purpose.
Dose appropriately.
Treat the patient – not the comfort of doing something.”
