“Vitamin K2 and Arterial Calcification
Vitamin K2 activates a protein known as matrix Gla protein, which inhibits calcium buildup in the arteries and joints.
K2 also aids in reducing insulin resistance, a factor that contributes to inflammation and arterial damage.
Vitamin K2 helps ensure that calcium is directed to the appropriate locations in the body, namely the bones, rather than accumulating in the arteries.”
