Shanvi Mahi: A Validated Tool to Explore Lived Experiences After Stroke Rehabilitation
Shanvi Mahi, Physiotherapist, Former Intern at JNU Hospital Jaipur Rajasthan, shared on LinkedIn about a recent article she and her colleagues co-authored, adding:
”I am honoured to share that our research titled ‘Development and Content Validation of a Semi-Structured Interview Guide for Exploring the Lived Experiences and Unmet Needs of Stroke Survivors after Physiotherapy’ has been published in the Journal of Chemical Health Risks, a Scopus-indexed journal.
This study was conceptualized to explore and bring forward the nuanced, lived experiences of stroke survivors – an aspect often underrepresented in conventional outcome-based rehabilitation research.
Through a rigorous methodological framework, we developed and validated a semi-structured interview guide demonstrating excellent content validity (item-level CVI: 0.88–1.00; scale-level CVI/Ave: 0.96).
The guide comprehensively addresses key domains including physical and functional status, psychological well-being, social reintegration, and healthcare experiences, thereby offering a valuable tool for both researchers and clinicians aiming to adopt a more patient-centered approach in stroke rehabilitation.
