Angie Read: A Powerful Conversation on Survival, Recovery, and Purpose on Stroke Sisters’ Latest Episode
Angie Read, Founder and CEO of Stroke Sisters, MarComm Manager – Member Acquisition and Engagement at American Academy of Family Physicians, shared on LinkedIn:
”One of the things I’m most grateful for is the opportunity to connect with female stroke survivors from all over the world and hear their stories firsthand.
In this episode of my podcast (Stroke Sisters: Stories of Strength and Resilience), I speak with Emely Kadoko, a mother of four from Zimbabwe whose life changed in an instant after a severe stroke in 2020.
What began as a bad headache quickly became a fight for her life, leaving her unconscious and hospitalized for weeks.
What stands out most is her determination.
With the support of her family, she fought her way back and continues to rebuild her life with purpose.
Today, she’s using her experience to raise stroke awareness and support children with disabilities in Zimbabwe.
Her story is a powerful reminder that recovery is not just physical.
It is emotional, mental, and deeply personal.
I’d love to hear what resonates with you.”
