Jim Hoffman: Targeting NETosis and Microclotting to Restore Immune and Hemostatic Balance

“Very interesting and informative in vitro studies.
You may want to investigate this further with Resia Pretorius and the PolyBio team who are looking for better treatment of microclotting, post infection Illnesses, including Long COVID PASC.
Perhaps desulfated-heparin analogs could help better mitigate the development of severe life-threatening NETosis dysregulation and circulatory decline, if tried in vivo.
However, I still prefer trying NETs/extracellular chromatin/histone removal from the blood using these emerging extracorporeal blood purification treatments for patients at high-risk of refractory SIRS and development of life-threatening sepsis/DIC.
Based on the largely failed clinical performance of systemically administered Activated Protein C, I have long believed the depletion of circulating charged histones and other extracellular chromatin debris that aggregates cells, rather than drug neutralization of histones, provides the greatest opportunity for restoring immune system homeostasis and improving blood hemostasis in response to infection and other triggers of worsening NETosis dysregulation.”
