“Excited to share our new publication in Frontiers in Immunology.
‘Beyond histocompatibility: Human leukocyte antigen as a cross-disciplinary platform for immune recognition and clinical decision-making.’
This review explores how HLA extends far beyond transplantation, connecting Transfusion Medicine, Immunology, Autoimmunity, Pharmacogenomics, Cancer, Pregnancy and Cellular and Solid-organ Transplantation.
A special focus is placed on HLA alloimmunisation, platelet refractoriness, TRALI, TA-GVHD and emerging applications in precision medicine.
