”Congratulations to Stanford University graduate student Malvika Krishnamurthy on presenting her abstract on work with us at the NCD RIGHTS lab (a student in the Stanford Community Health and Prevention Research ‘CHPR’ MSc program).
Here she is presenting at the annual Stanford King Center on Global Development Research Symposium.
Her poster is on a protocol for a scoping review assessing available data/ datasets on biomarkers in stroke patients among African and African Diaspora populations.
FACT: Biomarkers and precision medicine are the way of the future, including for stroke (and CVD) diagnosis and prognostication
Also fact: Black populations are underrepresented in biomarker data – and threaten (once again!) to be left behind as precision medicine advances to improve care and treatment for ALL patients
Final fact: data and AI can – sometimes – work magic to improve precision and prognostication. Watch this space!
