Abdou Salam Poutougnigni: Honored to Represent Fondation Pierre Fabre at the Africa CDC Sickle Cell Disease Validation Conference
Abdou Salam Poutougnigni, General Coordinator (Multi-country) at the Fondation Pierre Fabre, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Honored to represent Fondation Pierre Fabre at the International Conference on the Validation and Launch of the Africa CDC Continental Plan for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and other Rare Blood Disorders, taking place in Uganda from 11–13 May 2026.
This important gathering brings together African Union Member States, technical working groups, NGOs, foundations, healthcare professionals, researchers, and warriors’ associations around a shared commitment: strengthening continental coordination and advancing equitable access to comprehensive care for people living with sickle cell disease and other rare blood disorders across Africa.
The validation and launch of this continental framework marks an important step toward stronger policies, improved screening and diagnosis, better access to treatment, community engagement, and sustainable partnerships for impact.
I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to these strategic discussions and to collaborate with dedicated stakeholders working to improve the lives of patients and families across the continent.”
