Mavis Agnes Kisakye, Executive Director of Haemophilia Foundation of Uganda, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”It is with immense pride and gratitude that the Haemophilia Foundation of Uganda (HFU) accepts the Project of the Year 2026 award.
Sharing this recognition a long side our sister partners; the Kenya Haemophilia Association (KHA), Tanzania Haemophilia Association (THA), and Rwanda Foundation of Haemophilia (RFH) underscores the power of regional synergy in transforming the landscape of bleeding disorders in East Africa.
We were honored to celebrate this milestone in the presence of distinguished leaders, including the Permanent Secretary; Dr. Diana Atwiine, the State Minister of Primary Health, the Director General, Commissioner Laboratories, Dr Susan Nabadda, NCD programmes Manager and representatives from the Africa CDC and the East African Community.
Their presence reaffirms the growing political will to integrate specialized care into national health structures.”
