Ting Yuan: Understanding the Complexity Behind Repeated IVF Failure
Ting Yuan, Co-Founder and Clinical Director of Zhaoxi Fertility Center Malaysia, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Weekly case study.
Euploid doesn’t always mean success.
This week, we reviewed two interesting cases.
Both patients were around 36-38 years old, with repeated IVF failures despite good embryo quality.
Despite elevated immune-related markers, they achieved successful outcomes without additional Western immune intervention.
At the same time, most similar cases still required combined approaches to achieve success.
What we observed:
- Different patterns appear to cluster across patients.
- Some cases show clear improvement in follicular development.
- But implantation outcomes remain more complex.
One takeaway:
- It’s not just about embryo quality (‘seed’)
- It’s about the implantation environment (‘soil’)
And sometimes, it’s about how different systems interact.
Curious how others approach these cases.”
