Janak Sadhu: Building a Stroke-Free Mehsana Through Community Awareness and Healthcare Collaboration
Janak Sadhu, Founder of SNEH Foundation, shared on LinkedIn:
”A significant step towards building a healthier and Surksha Setu was initiated through the launch of the ‘Stroke Free Mehsana’ Awareness Campaign, organized jointly by Mehsana District Police and Zydus Hospitals.
This campaign marks the beginning of a district-wide health awareness movement that will now be conducted across every police station in Mehsana district under the guidance, leadership, and support of the respected Shri Himanshu Solanki Sir (SP), Shri J.G.Shaikh Sir (DySP), and senior officials of Mehsana Police.
The awareness session was led by Zydus Hospitals and the expert medical team from Zydus Hospitals, focusing on the early signs, emergency response, and prevention of brain stroke.
The session highlighted the importance of recognizing symptoms such as sudden dizziness, vision loss, facial paralysis, weakness in limbs, and speech difficulty – along with the critical need to reach a hospital within the golden 4.5 hours for timely treatment.
More than just an awareness program, this initiative represents a powerful collaboration between healthcare and law enforcement with a shared vision to make Mehsana a ‘Stroke Free’ district.
By connecting with police personnel and, through them, the wider community, this campaign aims to spread lifesaving awareness, encourage preventive healthcare, and inspire healthier lifestyles.
With the active leadership of Mehsana Police and the healthcare expertise of Zydus Hospitals, this movement will continue to expand across the district as a strong public health mission dedicated to the well-being of every citizen.”
