Natalie Johnson: Transforming PE Care Through Endovascular Innovation
Natalie Johnson, Talent Advisor at FloodGate Medical, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Exciting to see the continued evolution of VTE care highlighted in the latest Penumbra, Inc.
Pulse announcement from SIR 2026.
The new STORM-PE 90-day data reinforce the potential impact of Computer Assisted Vacuum Thrombectomy (CAVT™) plus anticoagulation in delivering meaningful functional improvement for PE patients beyond anticoagulation alone including improved walking distance and more patients achieving NYHA Class I status.
Additional STRIKE-PE findings also demonstrated consistent improvements in right heart strain, dyspnea, and quality of life outcomes across both male and female patients, underscoring the importance of equitable recovery outcomes in PE treatment.
Beyond the clinical data, it’s also great to see Penumbra partnering with the National Blood Clot Alliance to expand blood clot awareness and education in underserved communities across Mississippi.
Innovations that improve both patient outcomes and long-term quality of life continue to shape the future of vascular and endovascular care.”
