Alexis Krumme: Raising Awareness of Alloantibody Diseases in Pregnancy

Alexis Krumme, Director, Global Epidemiology, Immunology Therapy Area at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“This week, I’m proud to recognize High Risk Pregnancy Awareness Week and the maternal-fetal medicine and OBGYN communities working to support families facing complex pregnancies.

Alloantibody-driven diseases can cause serious, life-threatening complications for babies and pregnant individuals, but awareness and understanding remain limited.

At Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, we’re proud to be advancing the field of maternal-fetal immunology, with a focus on driving awareness of hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN) and fetal and neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (FNAIT).

Together with the broader patient, prenatal diagnostic, and healthcare communities, we are working toward solutions that meet the real needs of individuals and their families navigating high-risk pregnancies, including those impacted by alloantibody diseases like HDFN and FNAIT.”
