Ashkan Golshani: Congratulations to Our Team on Recent Publications in Molecular Biology and AI-Driven Research
Ashkan Golshani, Professor at Carleton University and Co-founder of Designed Biologics, shared a post on LinkedIn about recent articles, adding:
“I could not be more proud of you all!
It is my greatest pleasure to congratulate you all on your recent publications: Jiashu Wang (current PhD student), Mustafa Al-gafari (current PhD student), Sarah Takallou (former PhD student), and Thomas Kazmirchuk, Ph.D (former postdoctoral fellow).
Jiashu discovered and investigated the activity of a natural functional peptide using artificial intelligence; Mustafa identified and investigated the novel activities of two fungal genes involved in the cellular oxidative stress response; Sara investigated the toxicity of a building block used in certain plastics, in fungi; and Tom outlined a roadmap for the future of artificial intelligence-assisted peptide design in the field of hemostasis in an invited commentary that followed his scientific award.
Thank you for your productivity, but more importantly, for bringing so much joy to my laboratory. You are the reason people like me are in this business!”
