Brianne Martin: Stroke Recovery Is More Than Medical Appointments
Brianne Martin, Operating Director at Cornerstone Caregiving, shared on LinkedIn:
”June is Stroke Awareness Month.
Today I had the privilege of accompanying one of our clients to an appointment at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.
Many people don’t realize that recovery and ongoing care involve much more than attending appointments.
Our caregivers provide transportation to and from appointments, support clients through exercises recommended by their healthcare team, and offer encouragement and guidance every step of the way.
Just as importantly, we build meaningful relationships with our clients.
Whether it’s sharing a conversation, having a laugh, celebrating progress, or finding ways to make routine appointments more enjoyable.
We’re proud to be part of our clients’ journeys and grateful for the opportunity to make a difference every day.”
