Jamie Nash: Delighted to Receive the BBTS Race and Sanger Award 2026
Jamie Nash, Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Welsh Blood Service, Member of UK Young Academy, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I am delighted and surprised to have been selected for the British Blood Transfusion Society Race and Sanger award 2026.
This is for my involvement in research, investigating extracellular vesicles (in particular platelet-derived) within transfusion, with a focus on their haemostatic potential.
I am excited to deliver a plenary at this years conference in September about the work and formally accept the award. Thank you to Welsh Blood Service for the support.
I am honoured to join the distinguished list of previous Race and Sanger Award winners and grateful for this recognition to research and development in transfusion science.”
