Megan Preece: Presenting New Research on Antiphospholipid Syndrome at ISTH 2026

Megan Preece, Research Assistant at Imperial College London, shared on LinkedIn:

”I am back after a very insightful week in Paris attending the ISTH congress.

This is my second ISTH congress and the science only gets better!

I was lucky enough to present two posters surrounding the research that I am involved in with the Deepa Arachchillage Lab at Imperial.

This research focusses on endothelial dysfunction and impaired fibrinolysis in antiphospholipid syndrome (APS).

I even managed to fit in a football game with some fellow haematologists, which was great – even if I am still suffering with the injuries.

None of this would have been possible without funding generously awarded by APS Support UK, a charity dedicated to accelerating research in APS to improve diagnosis and treatment for patients.

Thank you once again for aiding this incredible opportunity!

Hopefully see you next year in Vancouver!”
